Our Sacred History
St. Timothy Lutheran Church was established in 1959 to bring the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to the growing community of Huber Heights, Ohio. What began with a small group of faithful Christians meeting in a local school has, by God's grace, grown into a congregation dedicated to proclaiming Christ crucified and risen through faithful preaching, the administration of the Sacraments, Christian education, and lives of loving service.
Throughout our history, the Lord has blessed St. Timothy with generations of faithful pastors, teachers, and members who have sacrificially given of their time, talents, and resources to build up His Church. From expanding our facilities and ministries to serving our community through education, music, outreach, and mercy, our purpose has always remained the same: to make disciples by sharing the hope of eternal life found in Jesus Christ.
Like every Christian congregation, we have experienced seasons of growth, challenge, and change. Yet through every chapter, God has remained faithful to His promises, preserving His Church through His Word and Sacraments. Guided by the Holy Scriptures and joyfully confessing the Lutheran faith, we continue to stand on the unchanging truth of God's Word while seeking to serve our neighbors with Christ's love.
Today, St. Timothy remains committed to being a Christ-centered, confessional Lutheran congregation where people of every age can hear God's Word, receive His gifts, grow in the faith, and encourage one another in Christian fellowship. Whether you have been a lifelong Lutheran, are exploring the Christian faith, or are simply looking for a church home, we invite you to join us as we gather around Christ and His saving Gospel.

Our Pastor
Pastor Jacob Deal comes to St. Timothy after serving over nine years in his first call as pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon, PA. Pastor Deal was installed at St. Timothy on January 17, 2026.
The Lord has provided Pastor Deal and his wife Anna with three wonderful children, Isaiah, Titus, and Loretta.
Rev. Jacob deal was born and raised in the Luna Pier, MI area. He and his wife have been in the LC-MS their entire life. Since a very young age Jacob desired to be a missionary with the Lord’s Gospel. He pursued the office of the Holy Ministry with much encouragement from his parents and in-laws. He received his Bachelors in Communication from the University of Toledo in 2012. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, in May of 2016.
